On April 6, 2019, after 6 months of discussion, the Ukraine Chapter of IAMCP was officially born!

So how did it all begin?

When Thomas Ajspur, CEO of Enavate, returned from a conference, he sent his Regional Direct, Iurii (Yuri) Glozhyk an email saying, “You have to start a Ukrainian chapter of the IAMCP.” Not understanding what that was, or what it might mean for Ukrainian partners, Iurii put it on the back burner until 2019 strategy planning was complete and he had time to spend on the project.

In January, Iurii pulled together a small team for discussion, which included Oksana Pysarska, HR lead for Enavate, and Sergio Baptista of the IAMCP, and soon they had a good plan. So good, in fact, that almost instantaneously, the initial five members of the Ukraine IAMCP Chapter Steering Committee were confirmed as:

·         Sergiy Barkov – CEO of SWP Group

·         Yuri Nabochenko – Partner of Xpand Software

·         Yuri Andrushchenko – Director of Alta Return

·         Yuri Glozhyk – Regional director of Enavate

·         Dmytro Popinako – Managing partner of Innoware

Embracing Diversity

For the team at Enavate, this move was extremely important, not just as a resource for Ukrainian Microsoft partners: the company’s culture is strongly based on diversity, and the opportunity to become a part of the IAMCP and draw on the knowledge and resources of WIT (Women in Technology) struck a chord at the core of Enavate’s corporate philosophy.

Said Iurii, “We want to include and demonstrate diversity in everything we do, so an IAMCP chapter in our Microsoft community made perfect sense; all we had to do was bring others on board. And we’re off to a roaring start!”

Iurii went on to discuss how Ukrainian Microsoft partners are competing in a much more aggressive manner than their European counterparts. He believes that IAMCP membership will enable partners to realize the benefits of partnership, in terms of expanded offerings to their customers and the related growth opportunities, and expects that this will change the way in which partners work in Ukraine.

What’s Next for IAMCP Ukraine Chapter?

Having identified the opportunity, the Steering Committee plans to be targeting their peers to discuss the benefits of IAMCP membership and has set two goals for their first year:

·         Add 20 partners; and

·         Bring Microsoft closer to the partners, so that they have a sense of belonging in the Microsoft ecosystem

And to maintain that momentum, the team will be meeting this week to establish their member-procurement strategy, so stay tuned for updates on this new chapter.

“It’s been wonderful to receive so many welcoming emails and feel part of the IAMCP tribe! The IAMCP will offer the opportunity for better collaboration between partners and growth benefits for all - the partners and Microsoft…it’s a win-win-win situation. Together we can deliver better services to our customers and achieve more recognition from Microsoft. Let’s help each other to grow!” – Iurii Glozhyk
