The Final Countdown - WPC 2016

Dear IAMCP Colleagues,

As the chair of IAMCP’s WPC 2016 planning team, I am thrilled to see the clock ticking down to July 10th and the start of the Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC). I cannot wait to make the trip to Canada and dig into everything that the conference and Ontario’s capital city have to offer. The IAMCP WPC team has been hard at work for the last year organizing events and activities that will help partners get the most out of their time in Toronto.

More than 15,000 partners from around the world attend WPC to make connections that will generate future business, to access business insights for competitive edge, and to build partnerships that deliver world-class results for customers. We know that attending WPC is a big investment of time and money and have taken that into consideration when creating this year’s events, activities, networking get-togethers, award recognition, education sessions, and happy hours. Our goal is to help you get the most out of the event and set you up for success in the coming year.

Here are my best tips for you for this year’s WPC:
• Plan your travel to come early and stay late to take advantage of pre and post events so that you do not miss a minute of connection, professional development, and business opportunity.
• Seek out your IAMCP counterparts—the IAMCP booth is the place to be to share information, hear from colleagues from around the world, and build partner-to-partner relationships.
• From sessions to happy hours, maximize your time and be sure to check the schedule of events for a snapshot of all the action.

I would like to conclude with my heartfelt thank you to the incredible team that has contributed ideas, enthusiasm, time, and hard work into making this year’s IAMCP presence at WPC impactful for all of the IAMCP membership. We could not do it without the dedication of these volunteers. Be sure to express your appreciation when you see them working the booth and events this July.

See you in Toronto!

Steve Hall

Partner-to-Partner (P2P) at WPC
If attending WPC to find new partners to work with and drive business growth is on your agenda, make sure to join the P2P workshop session titled "Defining Your Path to P2P Maturity". This session combines feedback and lessons learned from previous US and Canadian IAMCP-sponsored P2P Workshops and takes things to the next level by focusing on what you need to do to be successful in your P2P initiatives. The interactive workshop will help participants assess the state of their partnerships, identify the right partners with which to engage, and articulate the next steps needed to put them on the road to revenue growth.

For more on P2P, be sure to add these sessions to your schedule:
